A catalog containing information about 8-bit NES and Famicom games. You can use the catalog to search for NES games of your liking. It is possible to store games in your collection for faster access.

Overview
The 8-bit Catalog is a searchable library of games released for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Better Auth manages authentication and authorization. Zod and drizzle-zod are utilized for data validation. Resend is the current library used for sending emails to users. Each game page includes a link to the RollNES site if the RollNES emulator supports that game. The catalog is continuously updated with additional information and functionality.

The React framework Next.js is used for both frontend and backend.
Data
Files are persisted in Supabase Storage. Drizzle communicates directly with a Supabase Postgres database for storing game metadata and account information.
API & Integration
Are you interested in creating your own NES project? You can use the 8-bit Catalog REST API to access metadata for all NES games in the catalog. This API includes endpoints to retrieve games by ID, developer name, publisher name, and category.
